Day 01 Transfer Airport – WaterCottage (D)

The meeting point of Open Trip Derawan Island 3D2N is Juwata Airport, Tarakan. We suggest you arrive at Tarakan before 01:00 PM at local time. The trip from Tarakan to Derawan is at 02:00 PM. From the Airport, we drive to SDF Harbor for about 20 minutes. Then, we cross the Berau River by using speedboat f0r 3 hours to reach Derawan Island. Check-in at WaterCottage and you have free program until dinner time.

Day 02 Maratua – Kakaban – Sangalaki (B, Lunch Box, D)

The second day of Open Trip Derawan Island 3D2N and you shall enjoy islands hopping to Maratua, Kakaban, and Sangalaki Islands. Firstly, you shall have an amazing snorkeling experience at Maratua Island. Maratua is rich with marine biodiversity, at the third position in the world after Raja Ampat and the Solomon Islands. Secondly, you shall amaze with the beauty of Kakaban Lake at Kakaban Island. Moreover, you shall meet stingless jellyfishes which live in the Island. Thirdly, we visit Sangalaki Island, the conservation center of green turtles in Asia. If lucky, you shall meet and swim with manta rays. Moreover, if the weather condition is good, we could visit Gusung Sanggalau. Finally, we are back to Derawan Island for dinner and overnight at the cottage.

Day 03 End of Open Trip Derawan Island 3D2N (B)

The last day of Open Trip Derawan Island 3D2N. Enjoy your last breakfast at the cottage. Then, we transfer you to Tarakan City by using speedboat. While waiting your departure flight, we can spend couple hours for city tour. We could visit Tarakan souvenir center and visit Mangrove Forest. However, for Tarakan City Tour, it requires minimum of 5 participants.
